Aurora Faith Engagement

Aurora Faith Engagement is a pilot project designed to come alongside the broader, collaborative initiatives working to create sustainable pathways out of homelessness in Aurora.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Lasting reduction in homelessness is possible

We believe lasting change happens when churches and nonprofits move together in partnership.

  • Churches create places of belonging, hope, and community.

  • Service providers create pathways to housing, support, and stability.

  • Together, they help neighbors find a way forward.

WHAT WE DO

Aurora Faith Engagement serves as an
activator of effective partnership between churches and nonprofits, for the sake of our homeless neighbors.

We translate willingness into action, and action into lasting impact.

01

Begin with Community Assets

We spend time with local churches to understand their heart, capacity, and current engagement with homeless ministry.

02

Align with System Needs

We work closely with frontline organizations and community partners to identify where church involvement can have the greatest impact.

03

Create Clear Pathways

We translate opportunities into clear, accessible pathways — removing the guesswork so churches can step in with confidence.

04

Support Ongoing Engagement

We walk alongside churches as they step in, helping ensure their involvement is sustainable, collaborative, and deeply connected.

A Collective Effort

Real change happens when Churches, Nonprofits,
Funders, and Local Leaders are moving in the same direction.

Aurora Faith Engagement is part of a broader, collaborative vision to reduce homelessness across the city of Aurora  through moving beyond relief-based models and investing in sustainable, individualized pathways out of homelessness. This initiative exists to help churches fully participate in that shared work — bringing their unique strengths into alignment with a collective strategy.

FOR CHURCHES

We'd love to connect

If you're a pastor or church leader in Aurora, Aurora Faith Engagement wants to support you — whether you're just beginning to explore engagement or already serving in the community.

Our hope is that this initiative creates clear pathways for congregations to meaningfully engage in collaborative efforts to care for and reduce the number of our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
