Our Father, maker of heaven and earth
We pray for the employees and employers,
Who live, lead, and labor
In these neighborhoods we call home.

We pray for our neighbors:
Who are searching for reliable employees,
And those searching for a stable employer.

We pray for our neighbors:
Who drive a long distance to their workplace,
And those whose workplace is inside their home.

We pray for our neighbors:
Who sit confined to a desk for hours each day,
And those who will never sit down at work today.

We pray for our neighbors:
Who hold the tension of making payroll,
And those who hold the tension of multiple jobs.

We pray for the employees and employers
Who lead and labor in our neighborhoods
May they see value and dignity in their work,
And believe their work is good.
