Who created the twinkling stars
And the warmth of the sun,
The mountains majestic
And the turquoise ocean,
You Whose human hands created
With wood and nails
And miraculously redeemed us
With the same cruciform tools,
May You,
The principal and preeminent Artist,
Bless our art.
Whether we create
Paintings or poetry,
Cocktails or crochet,
Play instruments or move our bodies in dance,
Anoint our hearts, our hands, our bodies, our souls.
May You ignite our imaginations as we
Craft beauty in gardens and kitchens,
Designing spaces or composing songs,
Sitting at sewing machines,
Holding hammers,
Or bringing buildings to life.
May we know Your delight
As we create.
May we know our unique value
Is beyond what we make.
This we pray,
